Aims to sell 2,500 RS200s each month.
The recently-launched Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is off to a great start with the company having registered 1,000 bookings within a week of its launch. The Pulsar RS200, billed as the fastest Pulsar yet, was launched at INR 1.18 lakhs for the non-ABS variant and INR 1.3 lakhs for the ABS version, ex-Showroom, New Delhi.
Based on the Pulsar 200 NS, the RS200 is powered by a fuel-injected version of the 199.5 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. On the RS200, this engine makes 24.5 PS at 9,750 rpm and 18.6 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm and is matched to a 6-speed transmission. The company claims a top-speed of 141 km/h.
According to reports, Bajaj Auto which reported a sales drop of 22 percent in March 2015, is targeting sales of 2,500 Pulsar RS200s each month. While the RS200's sports-motorcycles segment accounts for only 1 percent of total industry sales, Bajaj has a 43 percent market share in this segment with the Pulsar brand.

Going forth, Bajaj has announced the launch of the 'new Pulsar range' on April 14. While the brand has not confirmed if it will launch multiple motorcycles on this day, the Pulsar 200AS - an adventure variant of the 200 NS - is expected to have its market launch then.
