The cushy cousin of the Toyota Avalon and Camry gets minor changes.
The 2016 Lexus ES will have its unveiling at Auto Shanghai 2015 which opens its doors to the media on April 20.
Currently in its sixth generation, the ES mid-size sedan gets its facelift about three years after it was launched. A teaser images released by Lexus shows the car getting a bigger spindle grille and new headlamps with black graphics and LED daytime running lamps that are profiled like a boomerang, hallmarks of recently launched Lexus models such as the NX and RX.
The front bumper is seen with a sharper design carrying angular foglamps, compared to the circular units on the current model. Similar changes to the rear and minor changes to the cabin can also be expected.
Lexus says the refreshed ES will have "classical elegance while conveying a more dynamic experience and luxurious craftsmanship."
