Camry Hybrid facelift will also be launched next month.
Motorbeam reader Nikhil Gogna has snapped the new Toyota Camry facelift totally undisguised, which Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) is reportedly planning to launch in the Indian market in the month of May this year. The hybrid version of the Camry will also receive the new updates and will be launched concurrently, adds the report.
The 2015 Camry, which was revealed at the Moscow International Motor Show last August, sports a host of cosmetic upgrades as compared to the outgoing model. The new car features a redesigned front fascia with a suave chrome grille, a large airdam, and redesigned headlight units, now housing integrated daytime LEDs. While the side profile remains largely unchanged, the rear gets LED-integrated taillamps and a premium looking chrome strip on the bootlid.
The new Camry’s cabin is expected to gain new wooden trim and softer leather seats. A restyled steering wheel, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment with integrated GPS, a 10-speaker JBL audio, and a 4.2-inch TFT screen engraved instrument panel are also on the cards.
These aesthetic updates will be carried over to the Camry Hybrid as well, which is already on sale in India. The new Camry was presented at the 2014 Bangkok Show last month, and has just been launched in the Indonesian market a few days back.
Toyota will power the new Camry with the same 2.5-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine churning out 181 PS and 233 Nm of torque found in the outgoing sedan. It is paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Hybrid variant, in addition, uses a 105 kW (141 bhp) electric motor and gets an e-CVT system.
