Mechanicals expected to remain unchanged.
Here are the first revealing spyshots of the forthcoming 2015 Mahindra XUV500 (facelift), which is expected to go on sale in the coming weeks. Launched in September 2011, this is the first major update for Mahindra's flagship offering in its own brand.
The front fascia sports the bulk of the cosmetic changes designers have made, with new headlight clusters and a chrome-enriched grille. The light clusters seem to be given a 'S-shaped' LED daytime running light, much like the new Scorpio's 'LED eyebrow'. 'L-shaped' chrome-finished foglight enclosures complete the changes up front.
A new alloy wheel pattern seems to be the only other major design update on the SUV. Previous images have shown that the rear will get a chrome-garnished registration plate enclosure, save for which there are no other changes. However, the Purple shade seen on this car could be one of the new color options Mahindra will offer on the XUV500 facelift.
The interior appears to be carried over from the current model, though the Plum shade for the seats and plastic inserts has made way for a new beige color for a more upmarket look.
