Suzuki Alto Turbo RS with AMT specifications leaked – Japan

Technical specifications of the forthcoming Suzuki Alto Turbo RS have been revealed thanks to blog.livedoor.jp. Based on the JDM-spec new Alto launched in Japan in December 2014, the Alto Turbo RS will once again be exclusive to the Japanese market.

The Alto Turbo RS is powered by a 0.66-liter three-cylinder engine capable of 64 PS.

The sportier Alto is powered by a 0.66-liter DOHC three-cylinder gasoline engine, and produces 64 PS at 6,000 rpm and 98 Nm of torque at 3,000 rpm. A 5-speed automated manual transmission is offered as standard, though Suzuki will let customers choose between 2WD and 4WD. The 2WD variant is rated at 25.6 km/l, while the 4WD returns 24.6 km/l.

Other features on the Alto Turbo RS include paddle shifters, start-stop system, adjustable driver seat and steering, an engine starter button, keyless entry with a smart key, option to choose different driving modes such as Eco and Normal, projector headlights, alloy wheels, rear spoiler, contrast wing mirror covers and body decals.

Safety features on the car include ABS, EBD, ESP and dual airbags. The new generation Alto is based on an all-new platform, which is lighter by 60 kg over the previous generation model.

The Alto Turbo RS is priced between 1.29 million to 1.415 million Yen (INR 6.68 – 7.33 lakhs) in Japan.
