To be launched at the 2015 Tokyo Auto Salon in January.

Suzuki Japan has announced the arrival of a Turbo RS Concept based on the newly launched JDM-spec Alto at the Tokyo Auto Salon next month. The sporting version of the kei car will offer better performance than the regular version, doing justice to the name.

The Alto Turbo RS Concept is based on the recently launched JDM-spec Alto kei car.

The Suzuki Alto Turbo RS Concept will get 17-inch alloy wheels, Recaro seats, stickers all around (sides, bonnet, and roof), and 'RS' stickers for the sides as well. Increased use of chrome up front, and bumper-lip, side stickers, and wing mirrors finished in the same colour as the wheels add to the sporty looks of the car.

The final specs for the engine, which the production version of the car will get, aren't out yet. While the regular version gets a 660 cc naturally aspirated engine good enough to make 48 hp and 51 hp (available in two states of tune), the one on the Turbo RS will be turbocharged. Also, Suzuki believes that the new model will be fun to drive, with its sharp response and high cornering performance.
