The X7's core markets would be USA, China and Middle East.

Motor reports that the X7 will launch in 2018, with 6-, 8- and 12-cylinder engines. Besides being the first 'X' model to have a V12 engine, the car could also receive a diesel plug-in hybrid version.

The average annual production is capped at 45,000 units and the most basic version would be priced at 130,000 Euros (INR 86.72 lakhs), claims the Spanish site. A "Vision" concept vehicle could be unveiled at a Chinese auto show two years prior to its market entry.

The car will sit on the CLAR platform debuting on the new 7 Series that is to be unveiled later this year. The lightweight platform uses aluminum, high strength steel, magnesium and carbon reinforced plastic CFRP which could lead to a 200 kg weight loss on the sedan.
