Likely to be the K14B engine with a turbo.
According to Chinese media reports, the Suzuki SX4 S-Cross will launch with a 1.4-liter turbocharged petrol engine by the third quarter of this year in the Chinese market. The S-Cross, which is currently available in the European market, offers only a 1.6-liter naturally-aspirated engine at the moment.
This unit makes 118 hp and 156 Nm of torque, and is paired to a 5-speed manual and CVT automatic, with front wheel drive and all-wheel drive. According to the Chinese report, the 1.4-liter turbocharged engine on the S-Cross will produce 136 hp and 220 Nm of torque, and will also be paired to manual and CVT gearboxes, offering 2WD and 4WD.
It is good likelihood that the 1.4-liter turbocharged engine on the S-Cross will be the 1.4-liter K14B engine with a turbocharger strapped on for increased power and torque outputs. The K14B engine is presently seen on the Ciaz and Ertiga in India, and it makes 92 hp and 130 Nm of torque on the Ciaz.
Suzuki engineers could dial up the output of this 1,373 cc engine, and yet maintain good efficiency figures. In fact, another report cites that the K10B engine would also be introduced with a turbocharger for the forthcoming YRA premium hatchback.

The S-Cross is due for a launch in India with reports claiming a launch in May this year. Given that the K14B engine is well localized in India for the Ciaz and Ertiga, Maruti could consider this unit for the Indian S-Cross, with or without the turbocharger.
