Likely to take design inspiration from the XLV concept.
Mahindra-owned Korean car maker, Ssangyong, revealed its first compact SUV, Tivoli, last month in Seoul. The Renault Captur rival will mark its European debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month.
However, the company's aspirations do not end at introducing the Tivoli to the European market. According to a report on Autocar UK, the XL-version of the Tivoli (likely with a 7-seat layout) will be revealed by the end of this year. Anand Mahindra confirmed the news to the publication in a recent interview.
The Tivoli XL is likely to be inspired by the Ssangyong XLV concept showcased at last year's Geneva Motor Show. The company said that the concept had an innovative 2+2+2+1 seating arrangement, and measured 4,430 mm in length, 1,845 mm in width, 1,600 mm in height and 2,600 mm in wheelbase.
Based on the same platform as the Tivoli, Ssangyong has not announced whether the two cars will share engines. The smaller Tivoli was launched in South Korea with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder petrol engine capable of 126 PS and 157 Nm of torque. A diesel engine, likely of a similar displacement will soon follow.

Of the 100,000 units that will be made in the first year, nearly 60,000 units of the Tivoli will be exported to markets like Europe, China and Latin America. At the moment, Mahindra is undecided on launching the Tivoli in India.
