Blacked out Indian Chief Classic minus the rear seat
Within a matter of days after Indian Motorcycles launched the Indian Chief Dark Horse in North America and UK, the company has now launched the blacked out version of the Indian Chief in India.
The India Chief Dark Horse gets a fully blacked out treatment from head to toe. Almost all chrome bits found on the Indian Chief Classic have been replaced with a matte black effect, including the forks, handlebars, engine and most of the bodywork. The Dark Horse would be available as a single seater in standard form from the showroom with the option of fitting a rear seat at extra cost.
The Indian Chief Dark Horse retains the same Thunder Stroke 111, 1,811 cc, oil-cooled, V-twin from the Chief Classic, which is capable of producing 161 Nm of torque. The new models also retain other important features like ABS, keyless ignition, electronic cruise control from the Chief Classic.

The motorcycle will be brought to the country as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) and will go against the likes of the Harley-Davidson V-Rod. The Indian Chief Dark Horse is priced at INR 22 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and deliveries for the cruiser would commence in the second half of 2015.
