Likely to be positioned between the 200 NS and 200 SS.
An Indian Autos Blog reader snapped the Bajaj Pulsar 200 AS (Adventure Sports) on test near Pune, Maharashtra. In a bid to strengthen its lineup, Bajaj could launch the 200 AS in the domestic market this year, though the company has remained coy on the motorcycle.
Designers have opted for a new half-fairing, though the mechanicals of the 200 AS are expected to be similar to that of the 200 NS. The engine in question is a 199.5 cc, single cylinder, triple-spark engine developing about 23.15 bhp and 18.3 Nm of torque with a six speed gearbox.
Like the NS, the AS would be given telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear, and a 280 mm single disc at the front and a 230 mm disc at the rear providing retardation.
Pricing of the 200 AS is expected between the 200 NS and the forthcoming 200 SS. Reports also indicate that the 200 AS could replace the 220 F in the line-up.

Bajaj Auto India will launch six products in the domestic market by the first half of this year. While the 200 SS is sure to be on this list, it remains to be seen if the 200 AS arrives within the first half of this year.
