Dual front airbags now standard on Innova.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has launched a top-end variant on the Fortuner, and updated the base variants of the Innova MPV. The Toyota Fortuner 4x4 AT is priced between INR 24.17 lakhs to INR 26.49 lakhs, ex-Showroom, New Delhi.
Earlier, the Fortuner was available with an automatic transmission but only in 2WD variants. The new 4x4 AT variant combines the 5-speed automatic gearbox (a regular torque converter unit) with the advantage of the SUVs 4x4 system.
The Fortuner 4x4 AT variant continues to be powered by a 3.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine capable of 171 PS (168.59 bhp) at 3,600 rpm. It is now the flagship variant of the Fortuner. The Fortuner is now available in four distinct variants: 4x2 MT, 4x4 MT, 4x2 AT and 4x4 AT. Apart from this, TKM also offers a TRD Sportivo bodykit on the car.
The Innova will now cost from INR 10.51 lakhs to INR 15.8 lakhs, ex-Showroom, New Delhi. While TKM haven't announced the exact changes on the MPV, and nor does the website provide any information, the Innova - according to dealers - now gets dual SRS airbags as standard on all variants.

However, the top-end ZX variant (which already came with this feature) now costs a whopping INR 73,000 more thanks to manufacturer level price increase and reversal of excise duty to older rates.
