1. Renault Lodgy unveiled:
After releasing a picture of the India-spec Renault Lodgy, the French carmaker showcased the upcoming vehicle in Stepway guise at a Bollywood night. The vehicle, a rebadged Dacia like the Duster, will be powered by the 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine that does duty on almost every Renault-Nissan vehicle in India. The Ertiga competitor is expected to launch around April.
2. Mercedes Benz CLA launched:
Mercedes Benz India launched the CLA compact sedan with prices starting from INR 31.5 lakh for the CLA 200 CDI Style version going all the way up to INR 35.9 lakhs for the CLA 200 CDI Sport. The petrol version is available for INR 35 lakh, ex-showroom, New Delhi.
3. Mahindra P601 LCV spied:
The upcoming Mahindra P601 LCV was spotted testing ahead of its expected launch this year. The Tata Ace rival is likely to be launched with two wheelbase and payload options. Earlier spyshots have revealed dumbbell-shaped lights, dashboard mounted gear lever, and cabin components shared with the Maxximo.
4. Tata Bolt launched:
Tata’s second new model based on the updated Vista platform, the Bolt hatchback, was launched at Rs 4.45 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. Engine options include a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol Revotron engine and a 1.3-litre Fiat sourced Multijet unit. Dual airbags, touchscreen infotainment system, climate control, and selectable driving modes are some of the top features.
5. Tata Aria Automatic spied:
An automatic gearbox equipped version of the Tata Aria was spotted by IAB reader Mr. Shubham Nitin Ghute near Pune. With previous appearances made at international motor shows, the Tata Aria AT is expected to launch but no tentative launch date is announced. Last year’s IIMS (Indonesia International Motor Show 2014) had the production-ready car on display, with a slightly more powerful (154 hp) engine.
