First special edition on the refreshed Swift.
The special edition Maruti Swift Windsong edition has started arriving at dealerships. Launched at prices of INR 5.14 lakhs for the petrol and INR 6.1 lakhs for the diesel, the latter is seen in these images.
The Windsong edition will be sold only on the VXi and VDi trims of the hatchback. Hence, features like dual airbags, alloy wheels, rear wiper and climate control will be missed by owners. However, compared to the standard VXi/VDi trims, the Windsong edition gets special seat covers with contrast stitching, a steering wheel cover, illuminated door sill guards, ambient lighting, and PVC floor mats.
In terms of feature additions, Maruti has included a touchscreen Sony infotainment system which plays CD/DVD/Bluetooth/USB/ and also doubles up as the display for the reverse camera. In addition, reverse parking sensors are also provided.
The exterior of the car sees dual-black stripes running along the length of the Swift and side body decals with a Music theme to it. The bootlid gets a 'Windsong' logo in addition.

The Swift Windsong edition sees no mechanical updates, and it continues with the 1.2-liter petrol and 1.3-liter diesel, both matched to a 5-speed manual transmission. According to a recent report, Maruti will launch an AMT version of the Swift by the end of this year.
