Will feature the brand's Fluidic Sculpture v2.0.
Here are more spyshots of the next generation 2017 Hyundai Verna (Hyundai Accent or Hyundai Solaris for international markets) from what appears to be a parking lot in South Korea. Hyundai is clearly wasting no time in bringing the next iteration of the sedan (also available as a hatchback abroad), despite not having rolled out the refreshed version of the current generation in many of its markets.
The new Verna, through this dense camouflage, appears to use the brand's Fluidic Design v2.0 styling. The overall looks and stance of the car though remain identical to the current generation model, one that has found appreciation among Indian buyers.
Another area which got the Verna the right verdict was its extensive feature list, many of which were first-in-segment. It would be interesting to see how Hyundai specs the car over and above the current generation model which is packed to the brim with features such as projector headlights, diamond-cut alloys, reverse camera and sensors, multifunction steering wheel, automatic climate control and safety equipment like 6 airbags, ABS and EBD.
Coming to the powertrain, the new Verna could be equipped with the new range of GDi engines Hyundai is slowly introducing across the lineup. In fact, the current Verna recently benefitted from the 1.6-liter GDi engine in South Korea recently. These engines could be paired to manual and the new 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT).

The Verna was the segment leader in India until the launch of the new Honda City in January 2014. To regain lost ground, Hyundai plans on launching the refreshed Verna in India next month.
