The 2016 VW Tiguan that will be based on the MQB platform, will be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA 2015), according to a latest report.

The 2016 VW Tiguan will spawn three versions - a 5-seat, a 7-seat, and a coupe-like low roof variant - reports earlier said.

Going by earlier reports, engine options for the new Tiguan will include both petrol and diesel mills in the 1.2-2.0 liter displacement range, mated to manual or automatic dual-clutch (DSG) gearboxes and the AWD system (4MOTION). There will also be a plug-in hybrid variant added to the range at a later stage. The three versions will include a 5-seat variant, a slightly larger 7-seat variant, and a Evoque-rivalling Coupe-like variant.
