New Ford Endeavor is expected to be launched this year in India.
The next generation of the Ford Everest/Endeavour has been spotted in Australia, completely undisguised. The pre-production prototype has been snapped inside and out, revealing a manual gear shifter for the first time.
Apart from its new exterior styling, influenced by the Everest Concept, Ford has finally trimmed the interior cabin to premium standards, equipped with features such as a multifunction steering wheel, Ford's SYNC II infotainment software, and an 8-inch touchscreen display.
According to reports, the SUV's dimension stands at 4882mm length, 1862mm width and 1836mm in height and 2850mm in wheelbase.
Under the hood, the Everest will offer an engine lineup that includes a 2.2-liter four-cylinder TDCi engine, a 3.2-liter five-cylinder TDCi engine and a 2.0-liter turbocharged EcoBoost engine. Reports say that the 2.2-liter and 3.2-liter diesel engines produce 147.5 bhp/385 Nm and 197 bhp/470 Nm respectively, while the 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine outputs 234 bhp and 360 Nm of torque.
The India-bound Endeavour will likely feature a diesel-only engine lineup, paired to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.
