It could be powered by a Hero-developed engine.
This is the first spyshot of Hero Motocorp's upcoming scooter which will no doubt target the Honda Activa, the market leader in the scooter segment. According to a report on Gaadi Waadi, the scooter in question will boast of a 125 cc engine, indicating that Hero will target the more premium version of the Activa, the Activa 125.
The design of the scooter is unlike the Hero Dare, which is also a 125 cc scooter that will launch soon. Hero unveiled the Dare at the Auto Expo this year, and the scooter featured a rather bold styling, as its intended for the male audience.
The scooter in the spyshot features a rather conventional styling, though its rear panels don't appear as bulbous as the Hero Maestro. The indicators are mounted alongside the headlight as well (the Hero Dare and Dash don't feature this).
The report states that the scooter will come with a telescopic suspension up front, though other details remain speculative as of now. The 125 cc engine powering the scooter is likely to be a Hero-made unit and not a Honda one though.

With an entire arsenal of scooters, Hero hopes to steal some of the Honda Activa's thunder, which became India's best selling two-wheeler in July this year.
