China-only sedan was recently launched at the 2014 Guangzhou Motor Show.
Ford has announced the prices of its China-only Escort sedan. The car debuted at the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show in concept form while a production version was recently launched at the Guangzhou Auto Show this year. Prices start at 99,800 Yuan (equivalent to INR 10.02 lakh) for the basic version, going all the way up to 124,800 Yuan (12.53 lakh).
The China-only sedan was designed in Australia and will be built in China by the Changan-Ford JV. On the outside, it has a sleek stying on the whole, with the large Aston Martin like grille giving character to the front end. The interior is a dual-tone beige and black scheme, but the dashboard is simple at best.
Powering the car is a 1.5-litre four cylinder Ti-VCT petrol engine which makes 112 hp of maximum power and 140 Nm of torque. It's available with a choice of manual (5-speed) and automatic (6-speed) gearboxes.
