Audi will showcase Q7's tech at the CES 2015.

The German car maker Audi will showcase the Q7's technological features at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show next month, one of which is a 10.1-inch Android tablet. To take care of entertainment for the rear seat passengers, the 2016 Q7 will have a pair of these mounted behind the front headrest.

While it's all about what the tablet does inside the car, it can be detached from the mount and taken out as well. It runs on Android, is powered by Nvidia Tegra 4 processor, and come equipped with most features that flagship tablets offer. But what sets it apart, other than the four ring logo, is the fact that it can be connected to the Q7's MMI infotainment system.

Features of the onboard MMI system can be accessed via the tab, which includes playing music on the car's surround, navigation features, and Internet browsing. Audi says that the tablet comes with LTE connectivity (4G mobile network), too.

The 2015 Audi Q7 is based on Volkswagen's MLB architecture, is lighter by up to 325 kg than the outgoing model. In markets abroad, it will go on sale next year. The engine line-up for the Indian market should include two 3-cylinder V6 engines: a turbocharged petrol that makes 333 hp and 400 Nm of maximum power and torque, and a turbocharged diesel which makes 272 hp of power and 600 Nm of torque.
