Launches in India early next year.
The India-spec Renault Lodgy's interior was photographed for the first time by Anything On Wheels recently. Based on these pictures, its easy to see that the Renault Lodgy's interior for India is similar to the European model, which in turn borrows most parts from the Duster.
The cabin gets a 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel, a chrome-ringed instrument cluster with a tri-pod layout and circular AC vents. Over to the rear, the Lodgy sports a central armrest with cupholders and chrome finished door handles.
Overall, the cabin of the Lodgy is nothing to write home about, but it is expected to score well on functionality and space. Given that many parts are shared with the Duster which is well localized in India, Renault would be targeting an aggressive price for the Lodgy when it launches early next year.
The MPV will be powered by the 1.5-liter K9K diesel engine seen on the Duster, although in Europe, the Lodgy gets the detuned 85 PS power state. It remains to be seen if Renault India offers the Lodgy in the higher 110 PS guise, which also gets a 6-speed manual transmission.

Renault (Dacia) of Europe say that the Lodgy's third row seats will be more comfortable than its rivals, and that even with all seats in place, the boot can swallow 207 liters of luggage. The practical MPV could be the next big sales churner for the French brand in India, if priced right.
