A 4WD system comes standard.
Suzuki has announced the 2015 model year update for the Jimny mini SUV. The iconic model has sold over 2.8 million units across 188 global markets, yet India, one of the biggest markets for Suzuki (Maruti-Suzuki), did not and will not see it.
For the 2015 model, the Jimny's range of colors has been expanded with the introduction of a new Khaki Green and Steel Silver shade. The higher spec SZ4 model gets new 15-inch alloy wheels finished in a dark Silver shade as well. For the lower SZ3 grade, Suzuki has introduced a new seat fabric.
Both models however receive a new instrument cluster which includes a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and a gear shift indicator, ensuring the driver stays in the correct gear to minimize fuel consumption. ESC has been included as a standard feature also.
The Jimny is powered by a 1.3-liter four-cylinder petrol engine and makes 85 PS (83.8 bhp) at 6,000 rpm and 110 Nm of torque at 4,100 rpm. It can be had with a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission. A 4WD system is standard on both variants.
