The SUV is likely to be based on the Micra's V platform.
Nissan will present at the upcoming Sao Paulo Motor Show (which starts on October 28) a new SUV concept, which the local media believe would be called the Nissan Extrem II concept. The study would basically be a refinement on the Extrem concept shown at the 2012 Sao Paulo Motor Show.
Our rendering specialist, Shoeb, has enhanced the recent teaser image released by Nissan, and its based on these images that we think the Extrem II will preview an all-new compact SUV for Nissan. The front fascia of the concept sports the latest Nissan design trademarks such as the V-shaped grille and flared headlights.
The Extrem II has an attractive side profile, thanks in part to the sharply cut C-Pillar likening it to the new Murano, and the upward kink on the rear window. Nissan is yet to give us a taste of the rear of the concept, and we might have to wait until October 28 to see that.

The Brazilian media report that the Extrem II will launch in 2016, unpinned by the V-Platform. Nissan have hinted that they would launch another SUV in India, and the Extrem II would be a very good option especially considering that its based on the Micra's platform which is well localized, and can be wielded.
