The engines are carried over from the current vehicle.
The Maruti Swift facelift, as reported by Indian Autos Blog earlier, will deliver better fuel efficiency. Maruti's engineers have reportedly done this by tweaking the power and torque figures of the car, though the exact outputs remain unknown for now.
GaadiWaadi reports that the 1.2-liter K-Series petrol engine on the refreshed Swift will deliver 20.4 km/l, up from the pre-facelift model's 18.6 km/l. The more popular 1.3-liter DDiS diesel will improve its efficiency from 22.9 km/l to 25.2 km/l. To put that into perspective, the refreshed Swift delivers about 10 percent more to a liter than its predecessor.
Cosmetic changes on the 2015 Maruti Swift are extremely subtle. The airdam is a bit wider, and the mid- and top-end variants get L-shaped silver bumper embellishments aping the look of LED daytime running lights which are seen on the international model.
The Swift facelift will see new features come in the form of cruise control, keyless entry with push button start, Bluetooth and electrically adjustable and folding wing mirrors. Also, ABS will be offered as standard from the mid-level VXi/VDi trims.
