The Avanti makes 250 hp and 360 Nm of torque.
Here are the complete technical specifications of India's first sportscar, the DC Avanti.
The Avanti measures 4,550 mm in length, 1,965 mm in width, 1,200 mm in height and 2,700 mm in wheelbase. The two-seater has 20-inch alloy wheels which are shod with 255/35 tyres at the front and wider 295/30 tyres at the rear.
The mid-engined Avanti is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine (likely a Ford EcoBoost unit) which produces 250 hp and 360 Nm of torque. A 6-speed manual transmission sends this to the rear wheels.
The car's body is made of a carbon composite, and it rests on a spaceframe chassis with a rollcage. DC claims a weight of 1,580 kg, and an India-friendly ground clearance of 170 mm. A double wishbone setup is seen for the front and rear.
ABS, disc brakes for all wheels and Bi-Xenon headlights are the Avanti's main features. Airbags it seems will not be offered on this INR 35 lakh sportscar. On the outside, the Avanti gets a motorsport-inspired fuel filter and a glass louvered engine cover. The model can be had in a total of 10 colors.
