IAB Report – Maruti Ciaz official exterior & interior images released

Features a Honda City beating 2,650 mm wheelbase.

Maruti Suzuki has released the first set of images of the production spec Ciaz. The midsize sedan will compete with the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Skoda Rapid and VW Vento when it launches next month.

The Ciaz is inspired by the Concept Authentics shown at the Shanghai Motor Show last year.

Exterior design elements include a chrome grille, projector headlights, 16-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels and chrome door handles. The sedan measures a generous 4,490 mm in length and has a wheelbase of 2,650 mm bettering the Honda City’s 2,600 mm.

Inside, the Ciaz comes with a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, a two-tone interior with a wood-like finished center panel, a touchscreen infotainment system with inbuilt satellite navigation, automatic climate control, engine starter button and rear AC vents.

The vehicle is powered by a 1.4-liter petrol engine and a 1.3-liter diesel engine.

Maruti has started the pre-launch social media activities and bookings for the car are set to start tomorrow according to our dealer-level sources.

Expected Price: INR 7.5 – 10.5 lakhs, ex-Showroom

Launch Date: By October 2014

    This is a big attempt by SUZUKI to present a mid size car to the market Inspite of failed earlier attempt. While I don’t have know how about the comfort part, I am sure SUZUKI would not win on reliability issue as I have used most of the cars and settled with Toyota. Yes SUZUKI will able give a run for money for all other brands of the size
