After having launched the locally assembled Jaguar XJ 3.0-liter diesel variant, Jaguar India introduced the locally assembled version of the XJ 2.0-liter petrol yesterday. The XJ 2.0L, which is available only in the long wheelbase specification and in the 'Portfolio' trim, is priced at INR 93.24 lakhs, ex-Showroom, Mumbai, pre-Octroi.
The luxury sedan is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine (Ford EcoBoost unit) which is capable of producing 237 bhp at 5,500 rpm and 340 Nm of torque at 1,750 rpm. It delivers an ARAI certified efficiency of 9.4 km/l.
Based on the 2014 model year of the XJ, the sedan gets features such as electrically adjustable rear seats with massage function in three intensity settings, increased rear headroom compared to the 2013 model, Rear Seat Entertainment with two 25.9 cm LCD screens, electric rear side window blinds, soft door close, an 825 Watt Meridian Surround Audio System, LED reading lights in the rear and newly designed business tables.

The XJ 2.0L petrol has no competition as such, as its rivals come with eight cylinder petrol engines (Audi A8, Mercedes S Class, BMW 750 Li) or a twelve cylinder engine in case of the BMW 760 Li.
