Triumph Motorcycles India will shortly open its 9th outlet in Kolkata.
Though Triumph Motorcycles India started off its proceedings after a delay of almost two years, the British two wheeler brand has been having a good show since its inception 8 months ago.
The sportsbike manufacturer has revealed in its latest press release that it has registered 600 bookings till July 2014 i.e. within 8 months from launch. The brand entered India on 28th November, 2013 with 10 products across Classic, Roadsters, Adventure, Cruisers and Super Sports categories.
Triumph managed to sell 450 bikes in the first 190 days. As of now, the company has dealerships in 8 cites - New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Chennai, Bangalore & Hyderabad. The 9th dealership is set to open shortly in Kolkata.
Triumph Motorcycles India operates a CKD assembly plant in Manesar, Haryana, where it builds Triumph Daytona, Bonneville, T100, Thruxton, Street and Speed Triple. The mighty Rocket III, Thunderbird Storm, Tiger Explorer and 800 XC are imported as CBUs.
The motorcycle range starts from INR 5.7 lakhs for the Bonneville and goes all the way up to INR 20 lakhs for the Rocket III (prices are ex-showroom New Delhi).
