Rebranded Tata Sumo Grande now available in Nepal.
Sipradi Trading, the authorized distributor of Tata Motors in Nepal, has launched the Tata Movus at a price of 3.18 million NPR (INR 19.82 lakhs).
The Movus, which is an improved and repositioned Sumo Grande, is available with seating configurations for seven, eight and nine occupants.
Power for the Movus comes from the 2.2-liter four-cylinder VARICOR engine producing 120 PS (118.3 bhp) and 250 Nm of torque mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The Movus claims to do 15.16 km/l in the ARAI mileage test. Among the list of improvements made mechanically, Tata say they have fitted the car with a new rack and pinion steering and a new 260 mm diameter concentric sleeve cylinder with a self actuating clutch for improved life.
Among the list of features, the Movus comes with power steering, reverse guide sensor, AC, second row reclinable captain seat, tilt adjust steering and central locking. The front suspension is an independent double wishbone with coil springs while the rear uses parabolic leaf springs.
The Movus has a 65 liter fuel tank and a turning radius of 5.35 meters. The SUV is offered with a warranty of two years or 75,000 km in Nepal. Two body colors are available.
