The Celerio was launched in India at the Auto Expo earlier this year. The hatchback introduced the concept of automated manual transmission (AMT) in the Indian passenger vehicles segment, and in fact, the AMT variants of the Celerio command a waiting period spanning nearly six months.

A successor to the A-Star, the Celerio is powered by a 1.0-liter three-cylinder K-Series engine producing 68 PS (67.04 bhp) and 90 Nm of torque, matched to a 5-speed manual or automated manual transmission. The AMT however, is available only on the base LXi and VXi variants.
