The Mahindra G101 (codename) is the company's first 110 cc automatic scooter.
Motorbeam.com's reader Mr. Abhishek Goyal has clicked an undisguised Mahindra G101 scooter which is expected to go on sale before the end of this year.
The design highlights of the new Mahindra scooter include an angular headlamp, slender turn indicators that border the lower part of the contoured apron and vents on the nose. Another interesting touch is the set of air intake vents, on either side of the front mud-guard, which mimic a single seat racing car's radiator intakes.
Closer observation also reveals a chrome finished silencer guard and a silver grab rail. From the previous spyshots we know that the scooter features a prominent rectangular rear combination lights with a body colored panel in the middle.
The technical specifications of the scooter have not been revealed but it is believed to be powered by a version of the 110 cc engine borrowed from the Centuro commuter. The engine which produces 8.5 PS (8.38 bhp) and 8.5 Nm of torque in the Centuro would be mated to a CVT in the scooter.
First-in-class features derived from the Centuro like a remote smart key, anti-theft alarm, engine immobilizer, find me and guide me lamps are expected to be on offer.
