Premieres at the Paris Motor Show.
The all-new Suzuki Vitara has been revealed on the internet ahead of its global premiere at the Paris Motor Show in October. The compact crossover is the production version of the iV-4 Concept unveiled at last year's Frankfurt Motor Show and is being showcased at the ongoing MIAS 2014.
Without divulging much on its Nissan Juke rival, Suzuki has introduced a microsite dedicated to the model. While the design is derived from the iV-4 concept, it is heavily watered down.
The five-slot front grille of the concept has been ditched in favor of a sober silver twin-slat element which complements the bumper's silver insert. The wraparound headlamp units neatly integrate themselves into the grille and feature dual barrel elements. The circular foglamps and thin vertical LED DRL's on the edges of the bumper round off the front fascia.
The car looks equally conservative in profile save for the contrast black roof and pillars. There is a headlight-to-taillight crease and an upward swooping character line on the sheet metal to liven up things.
Not much of the rear fascia is visible but expect the edgy combination lights of the concept to stay. The interior is expected to be revealed at the Paris Motor Show.

Suzuki is tight lipped about the powertrain options though the 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines from the SX4 S-Cross appear viable candidates. The crossover will be manufactured at the company's Magyar plant (Hungary) next year.
Maruti Suzuki is understood to be working on a smaller SUV for India (previewed by the XA Alpha concept) besides which the S-Cross will launch early next year.
