Nismo, the tuning subsidiary of Nissan, has released pictures of the sporty and youthful Nissan Note Nismo, to mark the brand's 30th anniversary. The Note Nismo is the 5th model in its range joining the March Nismo, Juke Nismo, Juke Nismo RS, 370Z Nismo, and GT-R Nismo.
It is to be available in two versions - Nismo and Nismo S - powered by a retuned petrol engine (details yet to be disclosed) along with changes in tires, suspension and aerodynamics.
Shoichi Miyatani, CEO of Nismo said, “Celebrating Nismo’s 30th anniversary, we are planning to expand the number of models available in our road-car lineup. The Note Nismo we introduced today is truly symbolic to the Nismo brand in that it represents the fusion between motorsports that’s embedded in Nismo’s DNA and the success of the Note as a mass production vehicle”.
At the front and side of the Note Nismo, changes include a restyled front bumper with a different airdam, an integrated red spoiler, new rectangular daytime running lamps replacing the circular foglamps, differently styled grille with the Nismo badge, headlamp with black inserts, new alloy wheel design, new dual tone side skirts, and red mirror casing.
At the rear, noticeable changes are the rear bumper with central foglamp, chrome exhaust tip, special rear spoiler and a shark fin antenna.
The car receives a red-white-black color combination in the interior with custom sports seats coming standard for the Nismo S and optionally for the Nismo.
The Note Nismo would be listed in the international market later this year. More details should be available in the coming weeks.
Nissan India have shown no interest in introducing the Note that sits on the highly localized Nissan V-Platform.
