Honda Cars India announced today that bookings for the Honda Mobilio are now open. Dealers have started accepting pre-launch bookings for the proposed Ertiga beater for INR 50,000. A dealer we spoke to says that he will receive about 20-30 units of the Mobilio this month, and based on variant and color availability, delivery periods can range from immediate to a week. The company has also released the first TVC of the Mobilio.

The Mobilio will come with 1.5-liter petrol and diesel engines. The i-VTEC petrol motor produces 119 PS and 145 Nm of torque, and the i-DTEC diesel makes 100 PS and 200 Nm of torque. Both engines come with 5-speed manual gearboxes.
The petrol Mobilio is claimed to achieve 17.3 km/l, and the diesel, 24.2 km/l, in the ARAI tests. Features on the top-end variant of the Mobilio include ABS, EBD, dual front airbag, steering mounted audio controls, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, alloy wheels, foglights, faux-wood center panel and a 6.1-inch infotainment system with reverse camera.
Honda will also offer the sportier RS variant of the Mobilio in India. The Mobilio will go on sale by the end of this month.
