The next generation Skoda Superb is officially scheduled to be revealed next year. Ahead of the debut, company sources have revealed a few key details about the luxury sedan to L'Automobile.
A source told the publication that the new Superb will offer more interior space without adding extra length to its dimensions. Also, the boot space (which is currently at 595 liters with rear seats in place and 1,700 liters with the rear seat bench folded down) will increase. To repeat what another source said, in the cabin of the new Superb "you'll need a walkie-talkie to talk" to the back seat passengers.
The exterior of the car is described as being more wider, dynamic and sporty with a visibly short roofline. Design inferences are believed to have come from the Skoda VisionC concept shown at this year's Geneva Motor Show.
The new Superb will share about 50 percent of its components with the new Passat unveiled earlier this month. Engine options for both products will not see anything beyond four-cylinder units.
Expect the new Superb to launch in India shortly after its European debut as Skoda's Indian operations say it finds it easier to sell premium cars rather than budget model.
