The 2015 Range Rover and the 2015 Range Rover Sport have been unveiled with a few upgrades to the interior and chassis. The updated duo will be available for order from today in the UK.
The most significant update is the increase in the torque output of the 4.4-litre SDV8 diesel engine which now dishes out 740 Nm against the previous version's 700 Nm. At 339 PS (334.2 bhp), the power output stays unchanged. The engine is mated to a revised ZF 8-speed automatic transmission whose torque converter gets a twin spring damper for smoother operation. Land Rover also claims that the revisions to the powertrain has improved the in-gear acceleration.
Visually, the 2015 Range Rover can be differentiated by new 19-inch alloy wheels with Satin Dark Grey finish. The LWB version can now be specified with 22-inch wheels. Both SUVs come with fixed panoramic roofs with power blinds and new puddle lamps that project the silhouette of the respective cars on the ground, and not the logo.

The 2015 Range Rover gets two new exterior color options - Aruba Silver and Kaikoura Stone - while the 2015 Range Rover Sport gets only the Aruba Silver option. The Sport can now be ordered with body colored or contrast black roof and door sills.
In terms of equipment, the updated Range Rovers get the 'Intelligent Cargo Mode' which automatically moves the front seats forward when it senses the rear seats being folded. The fronts seats retract as close as possible to their original positions after the rear seats are fully folded. The 2015 models also come with InControl Remote and InControl Secure system that run in conjunction with the multimedia infotainment system.
