Suzuki Motorcycles India launched the Suzuki Let's scooter today in Chennai. Though the scooter was revealed before the Auto Expo, the market launch and price announcement of the scooter took place this morning. The scooter is priced at INR 46,925 ex-Showroom, Chennai.
The Let's is powered by an air-cooled 112.8 cc engine producing 8.7 hp at 7,500 rpm and 9 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm, matched to an automatic transmission. Suzuki claims a fuel efficiency of 63 km/l for the scooter. The Let's is available in five body colors.
The scooter measures 1,805 mm in length, 655 mm in width, 1,120 mm in height, 1,250 mm in wheelbase and has a ground clearance of 160 mm. Weighing 98 kg, the Let's comes with 90/100-10 tires and 120 mm drum brakes at the front and rear. The front gets a telescopic suspension while the rear gets a swing-arm type coil spring suspension.
The Let's is the first 110 cc scooter from Suzuki, and is positioned and priced below the Access and Swish (which are both 125 cc scooters). Competition wise, the Let's rivals the massively successful and current segment king, Honda Activa, while other competitors include the recently launched Yamaha Alpha, TVS Jupiter, TVS Wego and Hero Maestro.
