Indian Autos Blog reader, Dolan Christopher, spotted the 2014 Mahindra Scorpio facelift while it was testing in Chennai. Mahindra seem to have finalized the styling of the Scorpio facelift as the headlights, grille, bumpers and foglight enclosures on this test mule, though camouflaged, seem production ready.

The refreshed Scorpio will come with newly-designed headlights, bumpers, grille and foglights.

Note in the first image the outline of the headlight cluster of the Scorpio facelift as compared to the current Scorpio also seen in the image. The refreshed Scorpio looks like it will sport noticeably larger headlights than its predecessor. Previous spyshots of the refreshed Scorpio's rear end have revealed that Mahindra will give the SUV LED taillights.

Inside, Mahindra engineers have thoroughly revamped the interiors and dashboard of the car, giving it a steering wheel from the larger XUV500. A new infotainment system and instrument cluster are also in the offering.

Expect the refreshed Scorpio to continue using the same engine as the current model.

Mechanically, the Scorpio facelift is expected to continue using the current 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine which outputs 120 bhp at 4,000 rpm and 290 Nm of torque between 1,800-2,800 rpm. The Scorpio is available with a 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox, and this is likely to continue in the refreshed model. Expect Mahindra to launch the Scorpio facelift by the end of this year.
