An Indian Autos Blog reader snapped these images of the 2014 Mahindra Scorpio facelift while it was testing on the outskirts of Chennai, where the company has a research and development center.
Sources inform us that the front fascia is redesigned comprehensively with design changes being carried out to the headlights especially. Top-end variants of the 2014 Scorpio will feature projector headlights in addition to tinted lenses.
The interiors of the refreshed Scorpio are thoroughly revised with some parts coming in from the larger and more expensive XUV500. Previous spyshots have revealed a new steering wheel, redesigned AC vents, a new center console with an infotainment system and a brand new instrument cluster.
The running gear of the Scorpio, a 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine, will be carried forward to the refreshed version, albeit with possible minor improvements to CO2 emissions and fuel efficiency. The SUV is available with 2WD and 4WD, with manual and automatic gearboxes, which would be available on the facelifted car as well.
