Suzuki Motorcycles India today confirmed to Indian Autos Blog that the Let's scooter will be launched in April, while the Gixxer is on track for its August market roll out. These new products from Suzuki were unveiled in India a few days prior to the Auto Expo 2014, and were shown publicly for the first time at the expo.
The Gixxer, a direct rival to the Yamaha FZ, is powered by a four-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled 155 cc engine whose power and torque outputs remain a secret. The bike will come with a telescopic suspension up front and monoshock swingarm type for the rear. Braking is provided by a disc at the front and a drum for the rear wheel.
The Let's will be positioned in the 110 cc scooter segment which is currently dominated by the Honda Activa. Power for the Let's comes from a 112.8 cc air-cooled engine producing 8.7 hp at 7,500 rpm and 9 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm.
