Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM), the Indian subsidiary of Toyota, will soon launch the Etios Cross variant. And here's proof.
The Toyota Etios Cross was caught during its promotional film shoot by Indian Autos Blog reader, Mr. Sanket Bansod in Magarpatta City, Pune.
As our readers may remember, Toyota launched the Etios Cross in markets such as Brazil and Argentina late last year. Mechanically, the car is based on the Liva and sports the same running gear. However, the visuals of the hatchback have been tweaked to give it a rugged appearance.
The exterior upgrades come in the form of a silver skid guard and an additional front bumper. The hatchback sports black plastic moldings on the front, sides and rear, and gets anodized silver roof rails. Other enhancements come in the form of diamond-cut alloy wheels, 'Etios Cross' badges, and a set of additional accessory lights in the front bumper.
Inside, the Etios Cross is expected to receive chrome highlights for the aircon vents, while the seat fabrics would see 'Etios Cross' embroidered on them.
TKM will most likely launch the Etios Cross only in the top-end V and VD trims. In Brazil, the Etios Cross commands a price premium of INR 80,000 over the top-end variant.
In India, the Etios Cross will rival the VW Cross Polo and the upcoming Fiat Punto Cross. Expect to see TKM launch the car at the Auto Expo commencing in Noida early next month.
