Two of Mahindra Two-Wheelers' next offerings have been spotted in Pune, Maharashtra, by Bike Advice reader, Mr. Rishabh Shukla.
The scooter seen here is believed to be the 110cc Honda Activa rival codenamed 'G301', while the motorcycle is the Mojo naked street bike.
Indian Autos Blog's source earlier said that the scooter is nearly production ready and that it could have its debut at the Auto Expo next month. It will join Mahindra Two-Wheeler's existing scooter portfolio which includes the Rodeo RZ, Duro DZ, Flyte and Kine.
The scooters listed above are powered by a 125 cc engine (save for the Kine which is powered by a 72 cc unit). The G301 will mark Mahindra's entry into the highly competitive 110 cc segment, a segment dominated by Honda. Honda sells four products in this segment (actually, all of Honda's scooters are 110 cc products) - the Activa i, Activa, Dio and Aviator.
We suspect the Mahindra G301 to borrow its engine from the Pantero/Centuro commuter bikes, both of which are powered by a 106.7 cc engine producing 8.5 PS at 7,500 rpm and 8.5 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm.
As far as the Mojo is concerned, Mahindra's designers seem to have altered the shape of the fuel tank for a more masculine appearance. You can view more spyshots of the Mojo here.
