The Toyota Camry Hybrid, India's first locally made hybrid car, has been launched at Rs. 29.75 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
The hybrid sedan is built at a dedicated assembly line within TKM's second plant in Bidadi, near Bengaluru. India becomes the ninth country to manufacture Toyota hybrid vehicles.
The Camry Hybrid employs a 2.5-litre beltless petrol engine combined to an electric motor to form the Hybrid Synergy Drive (HSD). The combined output stands at 205PS and this power is transmitted through an Electronically controlled CVT (E-CVT) automatic gearbox.
An ARAI certified fuel economy of 19.16kpl and emissions of just 122.8 g of CO2 per 100km are other noteworthy aspects of the powertrain.

The Camry Hybrid comes with power recline rear seat, three-zone air conditioning and rear arm rest with controls for power recline, power sunshade for rear windows, audio system and AC.
Other features include four airbags, ABS, traction control, VSC, LED headlamps, acoustic glass, powered driver seat, powered steering adjustments with memory, Hill Start Assist, etc.
The Camry Hybrid comes in four exterior color options - Grey Metallic, White Pearl Crystal Shine, Silver Metallic and Attitude Black.
