[Specification Sheets updated] 2013 Tata Indigo eCS and Indica eV2 get emax CNG variants

Continuing their product blitzkrieg today, Tata Motors has announced the 2013 Tata Indigo eCS emax and 2013 Tata Indica eV2 emax. Emax is Tata’s way of announcing CNG.

Tata tell us that all the MY 2013 products have been improved upon after taking into account feedback from the dealer and customer level. About 500 Tata employees met with the dealers and the customers before the start of the MY 2013 program. In general, Tata say that the overall reliability and performance of the cars have been improved.

Mr. Karl Slym, MD of Tata Motors, told the media that Tata Motors had planned products for the Indian market until the year 2020.

He also said that 150 new generation dealerships would be opened by this year. Not to mention, there would be 11 new service programs in the coming weeks.

    what do you mean by “The entire CNG line is made of stainless steel.” ? the tank is made of stainless steel ? Can someone explain ?

    60 litre CNG tank can hold only about 12KG of CNG, so check your range figures.

    1. Hi Nilabh, the combined range was told to us by the personnel manning the emax booth. We took his word as he is from the product development team and was authorized to take questions from the media.

    Yuck! The front end of ecs looks Chinese!
    IMHO, not the right direction for the styling dept to be travelling… 🙁
