The Honda Amaze has been a runaway success in the Indian market, though its been around for a little more than a month. The sub-4 meter sedan has already received over 22,000 bookings and that number is only increasing by the day.
However, Honda has even bigger plans for the Amaze. The Himalayan Times reports that the Made-In-India Honda Amaze would be launched in the Nepali market by June this year.
Honda has confirmed the launch as well. Though it is to be noted that Honda would launch only the petrol variant in the first phase. It is not yet known whether both, the manual and automatic transmissions are being introduced however. The petrol Amaze with the 1.2-liter i-VTEC engine is expected to carry a starting price of about 2.6 million NPR (about 16.33 lakhs) when it goes on sale next month.
Right now, the Honda lineup in Nepal includes the Jazz, City, Civic, Accord and the CR-V.
Lomas Manandhar, divisional manager at Honda Car Showroom, Dhobighat –
