We all are in the know that Suzuki has completed work on the facelifted Ritz. The Maruti Suzuki Ritz (called as Splash in Europe) was launched in Germany a few weeks back.
Now, the Suzuki Splash is launched in UK for a base price of GBP 7,777 (6.69 lakhs). The 2013 Suzuki Splash features new front and rear bumpers, a different bonnet and grille design, and a mildly refreshed interior.

The Splash facelift will be powered by two petrol engines
- A 1.0-litre with 68bhp returning 25kmpl
- A 1.2-litre with 93bhp returning 23kmpl
The Splash lineup in the UK will have three variants SZ2, SZ3 and SZ4. Standard features include steering-mounted audio controls, MP3 player, a leather-trimmed steering wheel and electric front windows. Optional extras include 15-inch alloys, tinted windows and keyless entry.
Two new colors have been included in the lineup - 'Sparkling Blue Metallic' and 'Bison Brown Pearl Metallic.'
Considering the facelifted Splash is replacing the older one in most international markets, we believe that the Indian launch is not far away. A pre-festive season launch is what we predict for the facelifted Ritz but Maruti Suzuki has not confirmed this move.
We have to note that the Ritz is the second best selling car in its segment.
Maruti is likely to bring in the upgraded 1.2-liter K Series engine (with VVT technology, seen on the new Swift couple) while the decision to introduce the Ritz AT also hangs in the balance.
