Suzuki Germany has just received the facelifted Splash which we all know as the Maruti Ritz. Indian Autos Blog has already shared Suzuki's plan, but we have the complete picture about the transformation today as the vehicle has been introduced in Germany.

Prominent are the redesigned front bumper with souped-up detailing for the fog lamps like on the new Dzire. Bigger, wider and a continuous front grille takes a leaf out of Audi's book. Nothing much has changed at the rear except for the redesigned bumpers with fake air dams to give it a whiff of sportiness.

There are no visible changes to the car's dashboard. For the Indian version, we could see some changes on the colors used for the trims and dashboard. Maruti has shown its love for beige and lighter colors in the models launched this year. A dual tone dashboard would also be appreciated.

Petrol - Splash in Germany is also offered with a 1.0 litre 3-cylinder K10 motor but that engine is highly unlikely in the Indian spec. Expect the same 1.2 litre K12 motor to appear on the facelift, taking assistance from the VVT technology. A slight bump in power to reach 90 PS from the current 84 PS can also be expected.
Will Maruti debut the 4 speed automatic transmission on the Ritz that Germany is getting?
Diesel - The Splash is not offered in Germany with a diesel motor but the diesel heart is what is keeping Maruti from withdrawing the Ritz from the market! Yes, despite being only second to the Swift in terms of sales volume, the diesel engine features on about 8/10 examples sold.
A slightly more refined and linear DDIS engine is serving on the redesigned Swift and Dzire. Can we expect Maruti to remap the Ritz diesel's motor in the same way?
