The Suzuki APV could be the Versa replacement
It seems Maruti Suzuki’s MPV that will replace Versa will be priced at around 4 lakh rupees. The new model will be unveiled at the Auto Expo in January next year. While sources have indicated it is a refurbished Suzuki APV which already sells in Pakistan, Australia and other nations, no official word from Maruti has been reported.
Maruti Suzuki spokesperson -
The new van will sport a new engine with new transmission, priced aggressively in the market and compatible to Bharat Stage IV emission norms
At 4 lakh rupees, one wonders if Maruti can afford to use a diesel engine. The model discussed here is most likely to be a petrol variant. To challenge Xylo, Innova and Tavera, Maruti needs to come up with a diesel variant as the above models all sell only due to the diesel engine factor.

No doubt APV creation is incredible, but radials comparatively like scorpio, with much more attractive dash board pannel and roof A/C, would what I believe make APV a wonder car.

Dear Maruthi suzuki team,
thanks for the advertisement of APV of Maruthi Suzuki. Well the shape and the model is well conceived. I do expect a good safety measures by providing air bags and other inner components with thick- good metals or frames. Hope the price tagged may be hiked by another lakh (i.e 5 lakhs) for the additional protection to the passengers. Please avoid the shape and size as it appeared in Eeco which you are planning to release during Mid 2010. Your APV appeared in this page is nice and with good look. Hope to see a good variant from your company which I expect to buy during april-May 2010.
thanks
