Set to make its debut at the Paris Motor Show in 2010, Suzuki Swift’s successor will have big shoes to fill. A new set of spy images has surfaced from which instantaneously make out the retention of Swift’s unique design.

The whole car seems to have grown bigger and with a longer rounded hood. Obviously, the new Swift will be offering front wheel drive. We hear that there will be a choice of petrol engines, producing between 90 and 130 bhp of power.

Fiat’s new generation of Multijet diesel engines will take care of the propulsion and a hybrid variant is also expected in 2011. Prices will be announced after the car’s launch, but will most likely be marginally higher than the current version. Customers of the Swift are quick to complain of its lack of interior space.

Suzuki has to tackle the hybrid component storage smartly if they have to continue marketing the Swift as a family hatchback.
