Mercedes had an Indian Ad campaign that went-”Make the best car and then improve it.” Well, we totally agree but even then the S-Class that is the epitome of luxury and refinement has been given a subtle facelift. We bring you some pictures of an almost bare test mule.

The new front skirt with fog lights, a redesigned rear bumper and new side mirrors are the visible changes. The head lights have also received a minor surgery, now featuring day-time running lights using LED technology (Deja Vu-Audi?). The 2009 S-Class will be exclusively a facelift, with the engine line-up and model specifications expected to stay as it is.

The car still retains its trademark styling and luxury and this we believe is just to make it competent as the new 7 series is lurking around. Expect the car in India soon after its International launch as all the S-Classes here are imported.
